Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the Stillgreen mobile app (iOS and Android) processes and why. The short version: most of your data never leaves your phone, an account is optional, and the analytics we use can be turned off.

Data stored on your device

The plants you add, care schedules, notes and your progress are stored locally on your device. We cannot see this data, and it is removed when you delete the app — unless you have chosen to sync it (see below).

Optional account and sync

You can create an account to back up your data and sync it across devices. If you do, we process your email address and a securely hashed password, together with the app data you choose to sync. Legal basis: performance of the contract you enter into by creating an account (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Synced data is stored on servers in the EU. If you never create an account, none of this applies.

Analytics and crash reporting

To understand how the app is used and to fix crashes, we use Google Firebase (Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics), provided by Google Ireland Ltd. This processes usage events, a random app-instance identifier, device model, operating system version and, in the event of a crash, technical diagnostic data. We use it only to improve the app; we do not use it for advertising and we do not sell data. Legal basis: your consent, which you give on first launch and can withdraw at any time under Settings → Privacy. Turning it off does not affect how the app works.

International transfers

Firebase may process data on Google infrastructure outside the EU, including in the United States. Where that happens, it is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. If you do not consent to analytics, this transfer does not take place.

Data retention

On-device data remains until you delete it or remove the app. Account and synced data are kept while your account exists. Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months and then deleted automatically.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account and all synced data at any time in the app under Settings → Account → Delete account, or by emailing stillgreen@onopo.com. Data kept only on your device is removed when you delete the app.

Children

Stillgreen is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and withdraw consent or object to processing. Contact us at stillgreen@onopo.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above. Material changes will be highlighted in the app.
